Environmental Projects

As part of our environmental remit we have been involved in a range of small environmental projects over the past year.

These have included:

  • The distribution of over 100 compost bins to local households, in order to help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
  • The eradication of an invasive knotweed that has been encroaching on grazing land throughout the area and threatening the growth of native species.
  • Active participation on the committee of the Highland Environmental Network (HEN), which promotes and co-ordinates environmental projects throughout the Highland area.
